Why install a towel bar that can be ripped off the wall? Instead of towel bars install grab bars attached to the studs. If someone is going to fall give them something to grab that will give them a chance of reducing injury.

Never install knobs on cabinetry they are too difficult to grab for someone with arthritis or fine motor issues, even a broken finger makes grabbing knobs difficult. ALWAYS go for the pulls.
