LOOKING FOR OT HOME MOD RESEARCH AND RESEARCHERS
HMOTA is looking for occupational therapists, occupational therapy programs and occupational therapy students doing or planning home modification research.
HMOTA believes that the only way for occupational therapists to be leaders in the field of home modifications is through research to support our profession and the practitioners in the field. Our goal is to have a platform where researchers can collaborate and the home mod OT’s in HMOTA who are out doing home mods can benefit from the research and assist in providing data and working with academia to support their work.
HMOTA is developing the Home Mod Metrics program not only for research but to provide a research-based program for fall prevention that is eligible for grant funding so our HMOTA OT’s and COTA’s can launch a grant-based program in their area, if possible, under the supervision of a researcher.
As we grow, we hope to be able to add funding to the occupational therapy home mod research. The first step is connecting and providing a platform for research to get traction in practice.
Please contact us below if you are doing research, planning on doing research or want to connect with someone who is doing research in the realm of occupational therapy home modifications.
Please let us know if you are aware of home modification research that has been published that the home modification world needs to know about.
Please contact us to be a part of collaborating and bringing occupational therapy home modification research to practitioners and the world.
