I usually recommend one-handled bathroom faucets over two-handled bathroom faucets. It’s typically easier for people to adjust the temperature with one hand.
One-handled faucets are highly recommended for people with cognitive impairments. People with cognitive impairments typically turn on and turn off one faucet and not the other, this causes two problems:
· If it’s the hot water they turn on then the chances for scalding increases significantly.
· Only one handle gets turned off the hot or the cold, leaving either the hot or the cold water.
Love this shower control, it allows the water temperature to be preset so when the water is turned on it is always the same temperature. Great for children or people with cognitive issues.

When designing for accessibility utilizing a grab bar instead of a towel bar to allow for safety and beauty. Grab bars must be anchored securely to studs.
