Building a home mod OT business?
There’s strength in numbers. Join us.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead
HMOTA was formed with two main goals in mind:
1. To promote occupational therapists as leaders in the field of home modifications.
2. To develop a lucrative business model for home modification occupational therapists.
A third goal was added later:
3. Increase home modification occupational therapists’ expertise in home modification techniques, technology, equipment and design.
HMOTA/AIM BIG was born at the AOTA conference 2015. We now have over 400 members that access our website. We have online meetings the first and third Mondays of every month at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
For our online meetings we discuss our businesses, have speakers, present our projects and get to know other OT’s who are working in the home modification field.
We have a community forum at www.hmota.org for members to post links to their blogs and have online discussions.
The Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance is specifically for occupational therapists. Although it takes a team of builders, designers, and healthcare professionals working together as equals to design and modify homes for accessibility, HMOTA is just for OT’s.
HMOTA is for OT’s to congregate to discuss business and home modification issues from an occupational therapy perspective. HMOTA is to support one another in our own OT sort of way.:-)
Big love to all the home modification professionals making a difference in our world.
