Home Mod Evaluation and Accessible Design HMOTA Certification Class

Up your game with the Home Mod Evaluation and Business class starting on Tuesday February 20th, first two class sessions are free. Graduates from class become HMOTA certified, receive CAPS credit, get higher reimbursement rates for HMOTA evaluations and are eligible for paid Lead OT positions.

Class Schedule:

  • Go over objectives, review existing cases.
    • Assign work groups to case.
  • Review cases.  Presentation on ethics, drawing floor plans and design.
    • Design project assigned.
  • Evaluating for stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ceiling lifts, incline platform lifts.
  • Working with architects, as project managers and as Lead OTs.
    • Adapting templates.
    • Evaluations.
  • Local and national business development.
  • Virtual learning:
    • Showers.
    • Sinks.
    • Flooring.
    • Cabinets.
    • Ramp design.
    • Grab bar placement.
  • Final test for certification

Class also includes:

  • Two 30-minute coaching sessions.
  • Real time work on actual cases.
