The Senior Accessible Home Act (HR 1790) is an important part of making our world more accessible and decreasing injuries and costs for caring for our aging population. The tax incentives the Senior Accessible Home act promotes would assist in motivating home owners to plan for aging-in-place.
According to the government website that has posted the bill there is only a 2% chance the bill will pass. There has been no movement on the bill recently.
We need to get this bill moving. HMOTA, the Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance is working on organizing an action plan to get this bill moving.
If you are interested in getting this bill through congress please email me at: [email protected] or comment below with your contact information to be included in our efforts.
