Awesome presentation by Rosemarie Rosetti of the Universal Design Living Laboratory for the Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA) on universal accessible design.
Great information on universal accessible design including definitions, design considerations and products for accessibility from an expert.
Rosemarie became a paraplegic in 1998 when a tree fell on her during a bike ride. When returning home after the accident Rosemarie found a frustrating situation trying to live independently in her home. So she and her husband began to research homes and design and discovered universal design which led them to developing the Universal Design Living Laboratory a national demonstration home and garden. The Universal Design Living Laboratory was developed to help people understand how to create a more comfortable living environment that will enhance their quality of life.
Enjoy:-)
