The Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA)
the conference in Philadelphia is postponed.
POSTPONED until further notice.
We are postponing in order to resolve licensing issues. We’ll most likely reschedule for summer since winter is a hard time to travel and in the spring we’ll have a HMOTA gathering the Wednesday before the AOTA conference in New Orleans.
We are still figuring out the details, but here’s the scoop:
The city of Philadelphia has a several people who are in need of OT home evaluations.
Our plan:
Meet Friday morning, break off into teams and each team to perform as many OT home evaluations as possible utilizing an evaluation HMOTA members have developed. Everyone who attends will receive a copy of the evaluation for their own use.
Friday evening we’ll meet for dinner and each team will present at least one of their cases for the group to discuss.
Saturday, more evaluations then in the evening meet for a short discussion about the days’ evaluations and for a workshop on designing for accessibility.
Sunday morning, breakfast together possibly with a review of interesting cases or maybe a speaker-to be announced.
All OT’s and COTA’s are invited. Please sign-up below and more detailed information will be sent soon.
